Why a ROZO transfer settles in seconds
"How fast is the bridge" is really three clocks, and only one of them is usually large.
The three clocks
- Source confirmation. Your pay-in transaction has to confirm on the chain you sent it from. This is the chain's clock, not ours: seconds on Solana or Stellar, longer on Ethereum if you set a low fee.
- The settlement decision. Once the pay-in is confirmed, the route is already chosen and the payout amount was quoted before you paid, so there is nothing to negotiate at this point.
- The payout transaction. ROZO submits and pays for the transfer on the destination chain, which lands within that chain's block or ledger time — about five seconds on Stellar, around two on Base.
What we measure
Over completed payouts in August 2026, measured from source confirmation to the payout landing, the median was about 10 seconds and roughly 9 in 10 landed within 22 seconds. Destination chains differ: fast EVM chains cluster at the low end, and payouts that need an extra hop sit higher. These are our own numbers for that month, not a service guarantee — the number that varies most is the one above them, on the chain you pay from.
Why the design allows it
- Nothing is minted or unwrapped: the payout is a plain transfer of the issuer's own asset on the destination chain, so there is no attestation or claim step to wait through.
- No second signature from you. The payout is submitted and paid for by ROZO, so a transfer never waits on the receiver to show up with gas.
- The route is decided at quote time, across the chains we support — Base, HyperEVM (the EVM layer of Hyperliquid), Stellar, Solana, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, BNB Smart Chain and Ethereum — rather than after your money has moved. See supported chains for which pairs are live.
When it is not seconds
Underpaid or overpaid amounts, an unconfirmed pay-in, or a destination account that cannot yet receive the asset all move a transfer off this path. Those cases are covered in why a transfer is taking longer than expected and, for Stellar, trustlines and memos.
FAQ
How long does a ROZO transfer take?
Across completed payouts in August 2026, the median time from source confirmation to payout was about 10 seconds and 9 in 10 landed within roughly 22 seconds. The dominant variable is confirmation on the chain you pay from, which ROZO does not control.
Why is my transfer slower than that?
Almost always the source chain: a low-fee transaction waiting for inclusion, or a chain with slower finality. See the guide on delayed transfers for how to check where it is stuck.
Do I need gas on the destination chain to receive?
No. The payout transaction is sent and paid for by ROZO, so an empty destination address still receives — on Stellar you do need a trustline and the XLM reserve for the account to exist.
